WHO IS HE?

When you’re going through one of the toughest times in your life, who is He to you?

When relationships are crumbling, who is He to you?

When your money is looking real funny, who is He to you?

When you simply don’t know what to do, who is He to you?

It’s funny how we know God. We know that He is all powerful, and that He can do anything, but sometimes it doesn’t seem like He can do anything when it comes to you? Matter of fact, it seems like He may have forgotten that you’re actually going through a little something something……matter of fact, you been going through for so long that it seems like you’re not even a thought in the mind of God.

I came to ask you….whether you’re going through something big, small or somewhere in between…do you really and truly believe that God can come through? Even if you have to wait on Him….do you think He’ll do it for you?

My husband reminded me of a scripture that involved Martha’s response to Jesus when she was looking for Him to heal and deliver her brother Lazarus. Lazarus had died. She was wondering why the teacher (Jesus) didn’t get there sooner. Take a look at these scriptures from John 11 (NIV):

23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

27 “Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

Jesus was letting her know that the resurrection was there with her the whole time. The answer to her problem was there…yep…the whole time! He asked her if she believed that He was and is the one that can resurrect Lazarus. Martha’s response went in total left field….she said that she believed that He was the Messiah- the Son of God- but she never responded that she believed that He could resurrect Lazarus!!

Wow….so here’s my question for you. Do you believe that He is and that He can? Do you trust Him no matter how long it takes? Do you believe that’s He’s with you in the midst of you going through, and that He can bring a turn-around to your situation?

Don’t avoid the answer like Martha did. Either you believe it or you don’t. If you believe it, are your actions exemplifying fear or are they exemplifying faith?

Who is He to you? Whomever God is, call Him that by name- healer, deliverer, way-maker, stronger tower, peace, your strength…..don’t be afraid to call Him whomever He is to you! God answers to faith! Let your faith arise like never before so that He can be who you are believing Him to be in this hour! #Selah
