Stay Locked In

Sep 17, 2026

There comes a point when you have to decide that everything does not deserve your attention.

When you’re moving toward purpose, distractions have a way of getting louder. Unexpected problems arise. People misunderstand you. Emotions get stirred. Warfare intensifies. Suddenly, everything seems to be competing for your attention at the exact moment you need your focus the most.

But remember this: chaos around you does not have to become chaos within you.

Nehemiah understood this when his enemies repeatedly tried to pull him away from rebuilding the wall. His response was simple but powerful: “I am carrying on a great project and cannot go down.” (Nehemiah 6:3)

Sometimes you have to develop that same attitude.

I’m not coming down to argue.
I’m not coming down to prove myself.
I’m not coming down to entertain unnecessary drama.
I’m not coming down because things got difficult.
I’m not coming down because distractions got louder.

You have a future to build.

And here's the question worth asking yourself: What is this distraction costing the person I’m becoming?

Every distraction you entertain receives time, energy, emotion, and mental space that could have been invested in your assignment.

So guard your focus. Protect your peace. Keep your eyes on God and your hands on what He told you to build.

You don't have to respond to everything.

You don't have to fix everything.

You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is keep building.

Your future needs your focus.

Stay on the wall. Stay with the assignment. Stay locked in.

Stay on the wall. Stay with the assignment. Stay locked in.
