Signs You're Distracted

Have you ever felt busy with little production? Are you in a season where you feel as though you are being stretched everywhere and for everybody? Do you feel like you're not accomplishing some of the "main things" that you want to accomplish? If you answered, "yes" to any of those questions, you very well could be distracted in this season! 😬

I get it. You try your best to be everything for everybody, but it's still not enough. You still don't feel accomplished. You still feel like something is missing.

, I want to talk to you a little bit about being distracted. One thing that I am sure of is this. If the enemy can't kill you, he'll distract you! He'll distract you because he simply wants to kill your God-ordained purpose!

I want to give you a few signs that you are distracted so that you don't miss your purpose out of life:

1. Your Energy Feels Scattered

  • Distraction drains energy without producing results.
  • If you’re busy but not productive, you may be entertaining distractions.
  • Scripture: “Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things; but only one thing is necessary.” (Luke 10:41–42)

2. Your Priorities Get Pushed Aside

  • Distraction often shows up when what matters most keeps getting delayed.
  • If the things God told you to do are always “on the back burner,” distraction has taken the driver’s seat.
  • Ask: “Am I giving time to what aligns with my calling, or to what just feels urgent?”

3. You’re Always Reacting Instead of Leading

  • Distraction keeps you in a reactive state—responding to notifications, people’s demands, or drama.
  • Purpose requires intentionality and direction, not constant reaction.
  • Remember the quote: “If the enemy can’t destroy you, he’ll distract you.”

4. You Lack Peace and Clarity

  • Distraction creates mental clutter. You feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unclear.
  • Purpose brings alignment, focus, and inner peace—even when it’s hard.
  • Scripture: “God is not the author of confusion but of peace.” (1 Corinthians 14:33)

There are more things that I can add to this. Check out my podcast below. This is going to be good! Make sure to tune in!
