RUNNING TO THE TOP IS HARD WORK!

Jan 25, 2016

Just the other day, I was running up and down the stairs in my house. My goal was to run for at least 15 minutes. The more I ran up the stairs, the harder it became. Soon, I found myself short of breathe and actually thinking about quitting. What if I only did 8 minutes of the 15 that I had imagined myself doing? At least I would have done something right? That was what my mind was speaking to me at that moment. My mind almost made me quit, it almost made me give up, I almost put off what I had purposed in my heart to do. I realized then that my mind was trying to make me absolutely miss the goal that I had placed in my heart.

At that very moment, I refused to quit. I refused to give up. I kept reminding myself that I could get through it. I told myself that I had to act like I wanted it! Once I made up in my mind that I was not going to quit no matter what….then guess what?? My mind stopped trying to sway me from my purpose. It lined up with what was in my spirit! All I had to do was speak to it. I commanded it to line up with the plans that I had for me. My mind was not about to talk me out of my blessing!

Not only that, but as I was running, God gave me this insight. He began to speak to me prophetically. He showed me how hard it was to reach the top of the stairs, but He also showed me how much easier it was to go down. What exactly are you saying, Prophetess? Well, I’m glad you asked!

Stairs prophetically mean elevation and promotion. The more I ran up…in other words–the more I worked on getting elevated to the top, the harder it was for me to reach the top. It took great endurance and the will power to say that I wasn’t going to give up. Going down is the exact opposite of going up. It was so much easier to go down than it was to go up. Know this….success is hard work, but it doesn’t take much for you to fail, it doesn’t take much for things to go downhill! One wrong move, one wrong thing spoken, one bad deed, one mistake…..it’s so easy for your marriage, finances, health, mentality, etc to go down. All it takes is one bad move or decision! But if you want to go higher and receive more out of life, you’re going to have to do the hard work and run the stairs without quitting!

Your goal is to get to the top, not the bottom. Remember that.
