NEWNESS Requires Something

Isaiah 43:19 

New International Version 

¹⁹ See, I am doing a new thing!
    Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland. 

Newness doesn’t necessarily feel good, but it’s for your good. Newness brings discomfort. Newness brings a great stretch. Newness requires something from you that you may not be ready to give up because it brings so much comfort to you. I hate to tell it to you, but I must. God is shaking your tree. Things are falling off. Can you not perceive it? Or are you trying not to see because it brings discomfort and frustration? 

If we look at Isaiah 43:19, God starts that scripture with one command. He wants you to SEE! He wants you to open your eyes. He wants you to NOT ignore what is divinely happening. He’s pulling you out of your comfort zone. Don’t fret, it’s for your good. Don’t get discombobulated. Things are going to work in your favor. Just go with the flow. That means…flow with God and not against Him. 

Things are happening. They’re going to happen quickly. Be ready. It’s time to come out of a wilderness, yet comfortable Egypt so that you can go into a discomforting, yet full of blessings and breakthrough Canaan. But don’t worry….what’s next is going to flow with milk and honey. Don’t complain along the way and get lost/miss out like the children of Israel did. He’s making a way in the wilderness. He’s putting streams in what seems like a weary/dry place! 

Just hold on. Things are changing for your good in this new season. You simply have to trust God. #Selah
