My ComeUp Depends on My ShowUP 😬

"Then I heard the Lord asking, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?" I said, "Here I am. Send me." Isaiah 6:8 NLT

Like Isaiah, our come-up depends on our show-up. If we show up humbled, we will be exalted. If we show up prideful, it will bring us to a low place. If we show up to be a blessing, the come up is that we will receive a blessing. Come-ups don't just happen; they happen because we showed up.

Isaiah showed up unclean, but humbled himself to be cleansed. After the cleansing came the calling. The call did not come until the purification took place. Some of us want the breakthrough but not the presence. When we don't show up as God desires, we will manifest what we desire and come back asking God for help. Just ask King David! 😬

Here are some others whose come-ups depended upon their show-ups:

  1. Abraham showed up with obedience and ready to give up everything that God required. In return, Abraham was blessed with everything he needed. Abraham made a covenant with God through circumcision. The Circumcision opened the door for blessings and favor from God. God oftentimes has to cut us before He can bless us. If He does not cut us, we can't have covenant with Him. The cutting has to happen for the blessings to come through!
  2. Samuel showed up submitting. In his come-up, Samuel learned how to hear from God by sitting at the feet of Eli. He submitted to Eli. Because of his submission, Eli was able to help Samuel understand the voice of God. He grew stronger in hearing God's voice by being trained and develevoped by Eli. Samuel then became the first person to start a school for the prophets. In order for next level to show up, we have to submit and commit.
  3. David didn't show up with the kings, and He found himself with Bathsheba. Bathsheba was David's distraction. He showed up distracted, and it took him down a road he wasn't ready for. He ended up getting Bathsheeba (his distraction) pregnant. The child gets sick and is preparing to die. David realizes that him showing up the way that he did, brought the spirit of death to his child. He then tried praying and fasting to God to fix his mess up, but God didn't. David didn't show up where he was supposed to be with the kings. He showed up distracted and ended up messing his life up as well as those connected to him. 😬
  4. Ananias and Sapphira didn't show up with truth and fell dead in God's presence. If you show up with a lie, it has the potential to kill what was true.
  5. The invited guests to the wedding banquet didn't show up for the wedding, so the king got guests off the streets. The king (representing God) prepared a wedding banquet (symbolizing the Kingdom of God) for his son (Jesus).

There are more things that I can add to this. Check out my podcast below. This is going to be good! Make sure to tune in!
