Love Works Better

Mar 20, 2026

Bitterness is heavy. It eats away at your peace, clouds your judgment, and poisons your spirit.

You can’t heal when your heart is full of bitterness and offense — because bitterness doesn’t restore, it destroys. But love… love is God’s medicine. It softens hard hearts, restores broken places, and brings light where darkness once lived.

When you choose love, you’re choosing freedom. You’re saying, “I refuse to let what hurt me control me.” Love releases you to move forward, while bitterness keeps you stuck in yesterday’s pain.

Think about it — love is what brought Jesus to the cross. It wasn’t nails that held Him there; it was love for you and me. That kind of love redeems, restores, and transforms. Bitterness never could.

So today, take inventory of your heart. Where bitterness tries to take root, plant love instead. Where offense tries to rise up, release grace. Every time you choose love, you heal a little faster, grow a little stronger, and look a little more like your Father in heaven.

Be the love that heals, not the offense that hurts. Choose wisely — your heart depends on it.
