Faith Forward

Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith doesn’t mean ignoring reality. It means refusing to allow what you see to have greater authority than what God has said.

Think about Elijah. Before there was a downpour, there was a Word. Before the sky became black with clouds, Elijah declared, “There is the sound of abundance of rain.” Then he prayed, looked, saw nothing—and kept believing. Eventually, a cloud no bigger than a man’s hand appeared. What looked insignificant to others was enough for Elijah because his confidence wasn’t in the size of the cloud; his confidence was in the size of God’s promise.

Maybe you're in your “nothing yet” season. You’ve prayed, but nothing seems to have changed. You’ve believed, but you still can’t see the answer. Don't allow the absence of visible evidence to become evidence of God's absence.

Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep obeying. Keep looking. Keep moving Faith Forward.

And when you finally see something small, don't despise it. That little cloud may be the beginning of the abundance you've been believing God for.

Faith says, “I may not see it yet, but I trust the One who spoke it.”

What would you do differently today if you truly believed what God said?

Don't just talk about faith. Walk by it.
