Dead or in Resurrection Mode?
Apr 17, 2026
There are moments in life when something ends so abruptly, so painfully, that we quietly label it “dead.” A dream. A relationship. An opportunity. A version of ourselves we once believed in. We bury it with our expectations, cover it with disappointment, and walk away convinced… it’s over.
But what if it’s not?
What if what you thought died is actually in resurrection mode?
We serve a God who specializes in bringing life out of what looks lifeless. Throughout scripture, death was never the end when God was involved—it was often the beginning of something greater.
Lazarus didn’t just come back—he came back as a testimony. Jesus didn’t just die—He rose with all power. And the same God who did it then is still moving now.
Here’s the truth we don’t always want to face: sometimes God allows things to “die” not to destroy us, but to transform the outcome. What comes back won’t always look like what you lost—it may be stronger, wiser, healthier, and more aligned with His will. But it requires something from you in the meantime… faith in the middle of silence.
Because resurrection has a process.
There is always a space between what was and what will be—a quiet, uncomfortable place where nothing seems to be happening. No signs. No answers. No movement. And in that space, the enemy whispers, “It’s over.” But God is saying, “I’m not finished.”
The question is: what are you choosing to believe?
Are you performing an autopsy on what went wrong… or are you speaking life over what God can still restore?
Be careful not to bury what God is still breathing on. And at the same time, be wise enough not to resurrect what God intentionally ended. Everything that falls apart isn’t meant to be rebuilt—but everything surrendered to God is worked for your good.
So before you close the chapter… before you give up completely… before you walk away for good—pause and ask yourself:
Is this really dead… or is God just not done yet?
Because if God is involved, the story doesn’t end in death—it ends in glory.
