Always Wanting a Confirmation

How many times have you asked God to confirm something He has already told you to do?

Sometimes we say we're waiting on God, when the truth is—we're afraid to move.

We pray, “God, give me another sign.”
“Send me confirmation.”
“Let somebody say something.”
“Show me that this is really You.”

But what if God has already answered?

There comes a moment when faith has to stop asking and start moving.

Abraham went without knowing exactly where he was going. Peter stepped out of the boat before he knew how walking on water was going to work. The priests stepped into the Jordan before the waters moved. Their faith wasn't demonstrated simply by what they believed—it was demonstrated by what they did next.

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Maybe you don't need another confirmation. Maybe you need the courage to obey the instruction you've already received.

What did God tell you to do?

Write it. Start it. Apply for it. Forgive them. Make the call. Take the class. Launch the business. Finish the book. Have the conversation. Take the next step.

You may not have the entire plan, but you have enough for your next move.

Don't allow fear to disguise itself as waiting. Don't allow procrastination to disguise itself as prayer. And don't keep asking God for a new instruction when you haven't obeyed the last one.

Sometimes the breakthrough isn't waiting on another word from God. It's waiting on your response to the word He already gave you.

So here's your challenge: What is ONE thing you know God has instructed you to do that you keep putting off?

Take one measurable step toward it today.

You prayed.
You heard.
You know.

Now MOVE.
